There is the issue of whether or not the pennant season will again be disrupted by players wishing to compete in the Australian Open to held next February.
Sherro says let not have any dispensation or have the vast majority of players be inconvenienced, there is an easy solution

BowlsWA have announced the coach/selection panel for the Men's State side for the coming seasons.
Coach Brian Jeppesen
Selectors: Ted Alden(2 years), Roger Barns (3 years), John Carter (3 years).
Ted Alden is the new selector replacing Geoff Ellis
The role of assistent coach has yet to be filled or announced
No doubt the selectors have a tough job ahead of them if rumours are true concerning there will be only a 12 man side to contest future Interstate Sides series.
No doubt we will all have a different idea of who will or should be selected for the next side.
It is a very time consuming job and and these men are to be commended for taking on such a task.
Lets hope that the very best possible team will represent W.A in the next series.

Justin Opie capped off another outstanding year in winning Bassendean's Skipper of the year award with his rink of Steve Black, Ian Robertson + Nolan Hall who were unchanged for every home and away game this season
Justin finished with a pretty impressive 14 wins - 1 draw - 3 loses with a plus 140.
Justin also won Bassendean's Club Championship singles and runner up in the club 4's with Steve Black Paul Harber and Ian Robertson.
He also was runner - up to John Goddard in the Champion of Club Champion's singles.
Bassendean Bowling Club also had great sucess this season by earning 5 Promotion's out of 7. 3 Midweek + 2 Saturday which included Promotion to 1 White Midweek + Saturday.
WELL DONE BASSENDEAN LIONS.
