ROUND TWELVE

Last week round was abandoned, were there any winners in this round ?

Probably yes, Bassendean against the 2nd top side, Osborne Pk against the top side, Stirling against the 3rd top side, these sides would have been favoured by the majority of tippers to lose their games.

There were no points awarded for round 11

Battle of the giants where we see Doubleview PowerHouse 11½ points clear of the Victoria Pk Reds who are sitting just off the pace in 3rd position. Should be a brilliant game

Stirling Rangers in dire need of a win play Cambridge Knights in a night game at Stirling.
Cambridge who have quite a few night games under their belt and are in second place on the ladder.

Mosman Mozzies lost some valuable ground last game when surprising losers to Sth Perth host the Osborne Pk Siants in a do or die game for the Saints

Sth Perth Millers have made a good start in the second round and are in 4th place on the ladder play Bassendean who defeated them in the first round. Important game for both sides, can the Lions repeat their first round victory?

Kardinya Kats looking for a better performance than their loss to Bassendean Lions play a resurgent Wanneroo Express in a most vital game for both clubs.

C. Lander(sk), B. Ball, N. Bolton, B. Kiely

No form guide for this week to go on but the past tells us that Stirling have a very poor record in the three night games they have played, 2½ rink wins from a possible 12.
Cambridge are no strangers to the night scene but one might think they could find the Stirling carpet different to what they have been used to.
I will select Stirling to change things around, if they can't win at home when they have such an advantage it will spell the end for them this season

Millers look the goods and can stick their chest out with pride (not Ken) after their demolition of Stirling in their last day time home game, it was the mother of all massacres.
It is a must for Sth Perth Millers to win this game to keep the momentum going forward to enable a finals appearance later in the season.

Bassendean as we have said all along are having a real crack and they will win a couple more games with the attitude they have, however it will be a hard game to win on a surface they haven't played on, in fact no team has won at Sth Perth this season
While I have written off the Lions chances of avoiding demotion it still remains possible for them to do so.

R.Humphryson (sk), D. Triffit, M. Atkins, I. Collins
T. Kay (sk), M. Golding, P. Flack, G. Smith
W. Neilson (sk), B. Parmenter, D. Griffin, L .Johnson

Not aware of this weeks Kardinya side so can't comment but Wanneroo were sensational in their last game when they shut down the PowerHouse winning 7-1 at Doublwview, if that doesn't give the Wanneroo Express confidence then nothing can.
Wanneroo won the first round game and they should not be fazed playing on the Kardinya Carpet.

MOSMAN PK MOZZIES v OSBORNE PARK SAINTS

G. Evans (sk) R. Lawrence, C. Fleay, G. Nicol
J. Goddard (sk), I. Payne , B. Galloway, G. King
K. Pickering (sk), M. Nilson, F. DiGuiseppe, B. Couper

The pendulum has swung in games between these two Clubs, for the first time since Mosman came into the Premier League they were beaten in a home and away game after winning the previous four games.
How Osborne Pk will go at Mosman is hard to tell with no form to guide me, but one would think if Sth Perth could engineer a win in their last game at Mosman then why not Osborne Pk

G. Wishart (sk) C. McNeil Juristic, P. Long
A. Provost (sk) P. Butler A. Caccioploi, G. Faulkner
S. Knott, (sk) , M. Simms, G. Hiskens, G. Quann.

No doubt this is the game of the day with most of the competitions best performed players involved in the game.
It will matter little as to who plays who, Doubleview skips have the better stats with Kyke McIlroy and Dave Rankin led rinks doing best with 8 wins from 10 games and is the major reason for the rise and rise of Doubleview this season

Best for VP is AP and his rink while Rooster Wishart has lost just the one game but he has missed two games in the season

Thomas Mitchell is not available for this game, Shane Knott will take the rink, He and his rink did well against Cambridge tho they didnt win and should give a good account of themselves here

The first round game saw VP win by 8 shots at VP and one would think Doubleview playing at home could make up that shortfall.
