OSBORNE PARK SAINTS v WANNEROO EXPRESS

Wanneroo defeated Osborne Park Saints in the first game of the season and are only one of two sides able to accomplish this feat.

Bowls is such a game that if a team fires and plays at their maximum they will most likely win and in this case Wanneroo Express will need to be at their absolute best to take the points in this game

Osborne Park have been unbeatable at home this season and I expect that to continue in this contest

PLAYED AT OSBORNE PARK

J. Goddard (sk) I. Payne, B. Galloway, D. Appleton, --------------9/0 +99 shots
C. Adams(sk) B. Axford, , D. Moore, P. Potts,-----.-----------------2/4/3 - 15 shots

Looking at the leads this should be a terrific dual, Dave Appleton is a quality lead and never beaten. Last Saturday he came back hard to beat Cameron Tunstall and played a vital role for his side.Phil Potts has State side asperations and he is a top notch lead who played a blinder against Dalkeith a couple of weeks ago. This duel will play a big part in this contest.

Bill Galloway has been in sensational touch this season and will be too strong and consistent for newcomer Damion Moore

Ian Payne has been in tip top form and is one of the best thirds in the Premier League should have to many aces up his sleeve for Brian Axford who is in his first season of Premier League

John Goddard is in scintilating touch while the Wizard hasn't been getting the results he would like on the board for Wannero

Form says John Goddard's rink will be too solid in every position and continue on their winning way

JohnGoddard to win

G. Caffell (sk), W. Evans, G. King, G. Nicol, ------------------------3/5/1 - 13 shots
R. Humphryson,(sk), P. Knight, G. Adamini, H. Ward-------.----3/1 +31 shots

This will be an interesting contest, Reg Humphryson has been getting good results winning 3 from 4 games since he took over as skip
Gary Caffell's rink have done it hard all season and finally they were run over by a bus in the shape of Daniel Trewhella. In all other games Gary Caffell and his rink have been in the contest till the very end, losing scores have been kept minimal.
At home I expect a close game with Gary Caffell and his rink to come good and show last was all wrong

Gary Caffell to win

K. Pickering(sk) C. Fleay, F.DiGuiseppe, B. Couper---------------5/4 + 26 shots
Ted Alden (sk), R. Bates, N. Costello M. Hulbert--------------.--- 0/1 - 1

Kevin Pickering and his rink have shown they are never beaten and once they get into the swing of things they are hard to stop, last week they were down 0/14 and got back to win 22/20..
Murray Hulbert will have a hard game to get on top of Bob Couper who has done an excellent job of leading for his side this season
Fred DiGuiseppe has had a good season up to date and is a very reliable second will have an interesting contest with Neville Costello

Colin Fleay has been a very good recruit for the Saints and certainly makes it hard for the oppposition. Ron Bates has stepped down from the Skipper's role and will play his second game as a third. He is a very good experienced player and will contribute to the game and make things hard for Kevin Pickering.

Kevin Pickering is a quality skip and will also play a big role in this game while Ted Alden is playing as skip for his second game. Last week after being 11/0 down he and his rink came back hard to lose 19/20.

Should be a good game but home ground advantage and slightly more depth with form to to back them up Kevin Pickering should be the winner.

Kevin Pickering to win

D. Rankin (sk), P. Caffell, R. Lawrence, P. Pendergast-------.----8/0/1 + 54
S. Davies (sk), D.Triffit , S.Alden, D. Griffin -----------------------5/3/1 + 25

Top rink of David Rankin have been hard to beat and when it is tough going, they get going. They have strength on every position.
Fancy having the luxury of having Paul Pendergast playing lead. Last week Paul played three to John Goddard and was brilliant.
Derek Griffin has had some good games as lead and this will be a good duel

Rob Lawrence has been very good for Dave Rankin and as steady they come.Simon Alden has been doing the job for his rink and this will be a keenly fought position

Pat Caffell has been outstanding this season playing three and should carry too many guns for new third Dave Triffit

Stein Davies can be brilliant at times and this is one game where he will have to be. If he can fire watch out. Can Stein and his rink rise to the challenge and be the first to beat David Rankin's rink?

Dave Rankin has been the find of the season and doing a great job will be hard to beat.

Dave Rankin to win
