OSBORNE PARK SAINTS 110 (6) def DALKEITH SILVERTAILS 76 (2)
PLAYED AT DALKEITH

How could a tipster select the Silvertails after the loss on friday night against Sth Perth Millers? Never never never.
The form of the silvertails at home had been good but hang on they were playing the best team in the competition the mighty Osborne Park Saints who had buried them in the first round.

I guess we have not allowed for the fighting spirit of three of the Silvertail rinks and when we look at the scores and see John Goddard's crack rink go down to Marko Krajancic by 4 shots, word is Marko played a ripper of a game. These two sides drew one an other in the first round and it was John Goddard'e rink who were the victors winning by 10 shots.

Luke Richardson and his rink got hold of Gary Caffell's rink who have been playing brilliant bowls in their past few games. Luke's rink came into the clubhouse with a 5 shot win.

Kevin Pickering had a narrow win against Peter Baccich and agin this is a very commendable performance from the Bacich led rink. Good players for his rink were Vaughan Colley and John O`Meehan while Bob Couper and Colin Fleay were extra good for Kevin Pickering's rink

The big win by Dave Rankin's rink broke the back of a determined Silvertails charge at the Saints. The score of 47 to 6 is a monster win and pretty rare to see a score of this magintude in the Premier League.

In his last two games as skip Tony Skoric has been dishing out the big wins. The loss here cost the other three rinks badly in their endeavours to win. In the two games played against the Saints Rinks skippered by Tony this season have a combined aggregate loss of 81/22

WANNEROO EXPRESS 75 (6 ) def VICTORIA PARK 71 (2)
PLAYED AT VICTORIA PARK
We did say it would be Mission impossible for the Express in the preview. Now we say Mission accomplished and very well done.
The Wanneroo Express repay the loss they suffered at the hands of the Reds in their first round encounter.
Not many would have tipped the Express to win today especially after last weeks loss to the PowerHouse at home then to play at the home of the Reds who had inflicted a huge loss to the Express earlier in the season.
In the scheme of things this is a big win and keeps the Express on track to play in the finals.
Victoria Park have surprised somewhat with this loss and now we find they have been beaten by all the other sides in the top four (two of the losses at home) in three of their last four games and more vulnerable than we might think.

Clive Adams and his rink have continued on with their solid form to be the main reason for the win playing against the King Of Swing Rhett Butler's rink winning by 5 shots.
Ted Alden had a good win in a tight game by defeating Anthony Provost's rink, AP is third on the beat rinks list so that makes the win a very good one for new skip Ted Alden.
Jeff Mitchell has done well since he has taken a rink and had a narrow win against the well performed rink of Reg Humphryson.

YOKINE DOGGIES 102 (7 ) def Sth PERTH MILLERS 72 (1 )
PLAYED AT YOKINE
When told the score I had to ask twice to see if it was true.
How can those Doggies who have been fighting among themselves as reported on the radio come out and give premiership aspirants the Sth Perth Millers a caning.
My Sth Perth man assured me that the Doggies deserved their win, the grass they played on was very good and there were no excuses that could be offered, they were beaten by a better side on the day.
Luckily for Sth Perth Victoria Park also lost so the loss is a little easier to take for them but a win would have been such a help to get second spot on the ladder which of course means a double chance.
Rod Heaton and his rink welcomed the return of Wayne Coffee the regular leader and their win played a big part in the win against Scott Walker's rink which appears to losing their way

Eddy Dodd with a new leader S. Manners and his first game in the Premier league collected a very good win against Nick Reagan. Eddy and his rink have been having a bit of a battle of late broke a 3 game losing run to record this win and it might be a sign of better things to come

Scott Edmonds also had a big win against the second best side at Sth Perth that of Ross Bresland.

The only win for the Millers came from the best rink in the premier League when Matt Elull and his top class rink took care of Jamie O`Keefe by 7 shots. Matt and his rink are now clear leaders on the best rinks list and their contribution to the Millers so far this season has been outstanding and the reason why the club is in the lofty position they occupy on the ladder at present.

DOUBLEVIEW POWERHOUSE 75 (6.5 ) def KALAMUNDA TIGERS 68 (1.5)
PLAYED AT KALAMUNDA
The owerHouse needed to win this most important game, a loss would signal the end of the season for them. A win would keep them in the frame and still retain a chance for a finals place

Not much in the final score and it looks like Kalamunda Tigers made the PowerHouse earn this very much needed win. All games were generally pretty tight. Robbie Ball had a handy win against Mitch Biglin in a low scoring game while Daniel Trewhella who had been beaten by a huge score in the first round game also had a narrow but important win to beat Neil Griffin
Billy Brandsma tied with John Slavich and that is a good result for his rink while Neil Payne recorded a win against Aaron Delaporte who filled in for Dennis Katunarich who was not available for this game.
