SCROLL DOWN FOR SCORES
Many apologies to our visitors we have had a computer glitch but now resolved however it has put us behind the 8 ball and will try to catch up with the cover by tomorrow night
Another great day for the competition with the biggest upset of the season when the Kalamunda Tigers clawed their way to a huge win against a lacklustre Doubleview PowerHouse
The South Perth Millers now sit on top of the ladder after a handy 7 shot win against a Yokine side that tried hard but were not good enough on the carpet
Osborne Park Saints hit top gear with a big win over the Dalkeith Silvertails who apart from one rink didn't play a bad game.
Victoria Park flex the muscles and flog the Wanneroo Express who hardly gave a yelp on their home green. Wanneroo were sitting on top of the table last week are now in 5th spot
Cambridge Knights got there by 20 shots after three of the Cockburn rinks were leading about 3/4 of the way thru the game against the Cockburn Roosters

KALAMUNDA TIGERS 84 (7) def DOUBLEVIEW POWERHOUSE 64 (1)
PLAYED AT DOUBLEVIEW
Who would have thought victory was possible for the inconsistent toothless Tigers. This is a win that has caught everybody by surprise. However top marks to Kalamunda for their persistence and we will see in the coming weeks if this is a one off. Lets hope it is the beginning of something for them.
It is again hard to beleive that Neil Payne and his rink who incidentally have a new lead, Vince Beckley playing his first game since crossing from Stirling would beat the most consistent skipper over the past 24 games and thrash he and his rink by 23 shots.
Bustling Billy Brandsma came into this game fresh from a great victory over Trystan Smallacombe last week to put new skip Pat Buller and his rink away with 9 shot win.
Speaking with Pat after the game he was full of praise for the Tigers and Billy and his rink by saying they were outplayed by the better team on the day and had not the slightest excuse to offer for his and the other rinks losing a game that was penciled in as a win by everyone
Mitch Biglin's rink hasn't been going all that flash this season defeated Kyle McIlroy's rink who also haven't been all that good on results of other games, has got a good result for his rink and the Tigers.
John Slavich was the only rink to take
care of business with a convincing win over Neale Griffin who's rink it seems are losing their way at the moment after their great game at Ossy Park

VICTORIA PARK REDS 93 (7) def WANNEROO EXPRESS 64 (1)
PLAYED AT WANNEROO
A big win here for Victoria Park who were the favourites going into this
game. Wanneroo had three impressive wins mainly due to Geoff Ellis and it was imperative that his rink be stopped and stopped it was by The Anthony Provost led rink who won comfortably
The big surprise of the game was the complete capitulation of Clive Adams rink who so far have been traveling well.
Russell Hughes hasn't had a win of this magnitude for some time and their win set up this victory for Vic Park
Rhett Butler's rink were smashed by Stein Davies and his boys who were on the end a belting themselves in their previous game. James Jaworski made his debut at Vic Park playing two for Rhett Butler.
This is the win the Reds had to have and face a new challenge next week when they play Yokine at Yokine
Wanneroo were always going to be got, and got they were, it further confirmed they were in a false position,
they dropped from 1st to 5th on the ladder.
This is a huge loss for them and will remind them that much work has to be done if they are to make the finals.

PLAYED AT OSBORNE PARK
OSBORNE PARK SAINTS 108 (8) DALKEITH SILVERTAILS 59 (0)
The Osborne Park Saints have been playing some pretty good bowls in the games I have seen them play. Coming into this game they were overwhelming favourites to put the SilverTails down for the count.
The stunning win by Kevin Pickering over the rink of Tony Skoric set it all up for the Saints.
G. Caffell (sk), G. Evans, G. King, G. Nicol----------------------.-----27
T.Williams(sk),M.Lindsay, R. Mitchell, P. ??-----------------------,16
A great game played by Mark Lindsay today
This was a hard fought game,
Generally the standard was quite good on a great green with little separating both rinks for many ends where we see the score board always close with all players contributing to the cause .
It was around 17 ends where the score was 19/16 and from that end onward it was when Gary Caffell and his boys broke the shackles to score an impressive victory.
The feature of this game was the display of Mark "the Cleaver" Lindsay. Mark was right on his game today landing close to the jack often to make life difficult for Gary Caffell and Graham "Wings" Evans. It was only at the very end that his game fell away.
Mark Lindsay pictured at left
Gary Caffell said after the game that he was relieved that the rink won their first game for the season and paid a compliment to his team for sticking in there to win and again he was full of praise for Mark Lindsay's game today.
Gary Caffell was the best player for Osborne Park
K. Pickering(sk) C. Fleay, DiGuiseppe,Couper----------------------34
T. Skoric (sk), V. Santostefano,W. Tan, S. Back--------------------16
When I arrived at the game one thing stood out in this game, it was the brilliant draw game that Kevin Pickering was playing. I am sure that now Kevin has settled in we will see the very best of this player. What a player to have come to the club especially after the player losses of
last season.
However we must say that Colin Fleay was doing a great job playing three while Fred DiGuiseppe was also in fine touch playing several ends where his bowls were where his skipper would want his bowls to be.
We have to say that the front end for Tony Skoric were outclassed in this game, the players could not come to grips with the green speed and the wind. By the time it was Tony Skoric's turn to bowl it was all over and he faced a difficult afternoon especially with the opposition back end on fire.
D. Rankin (sk),P. Caffell,R. Lawrence, J. Coleman------------------19
L. Richardson(sk)J. McIntosh, J.O`Meehan,J.McCormack----------9
This game had more than a passing interest especially
because both rinks were unbeaten. It was Dave Rankin's rink that jumped out of the blocks to slip away to a handy lead of 11/3 after 9 ends.
The Silvertails were having problems trying to adapt to the wind and the green speed as well as playing the ditch rink. I wasn't able to see a lot of this game in the early part but managed to get the last half in and how lucky for me because by this time the Dalkeith boys had found touch.
The score was 12/8 on the 14th end in favour of Dave and his boys. The tempo and the standard was the highest that I had seen
and one of those rare situations where the 8 players were contributing to the contest.
John McCormack played a great leads game and in the last half won his battle with Justin Coleman, Rob Lawrence playing two played extremely well to take the pressure off John McCormack's leading with many close bowls while John O`Meehan was playing a handy game. Pat Caffell was always busy and rarely wasted a bowl while John McIntosh showed what a fine sportsman he is, was also playing a rip snorter.
John passed by and said it was a tough game Sherro and how true,
The heads were very tight and on a lot of occasions Luke Richardson's rink would be holding shot or shots in a jam packed head forcing the ice cool David Rankin in to a running shot game which he managed to kill about 3/4 ends.
The standard was soooooooooo good but was not reflected on the scoreboard for Dalkeith. This Dalkeith rink played with plenty of skill and determination and can say they gave their all and fought to the very end.
Luke Richardson had a good game and there are sure to be more wins ahead for he and his rink.
David Rankin is a class player and it seems nothing fazes him. He was all class today and after this win he and his rink are only one of three rinks that remain undefeated. After today we can see why, they are solid in every position.
J. Goddard (sk) I. Payne B. Galloway, R. Cox-----------------------28
M. Krajancic(sk) J. Morgan R. Donald, V. Colley-------------------18
John Goddard came into this game with 4 wins under his belt, the members of his rink were in fine form. Marko had a solid rink with him that could go a round or two and so the stage was set for a great game.
John and his rink got away to a flyer leading 12/3 on the 7th end
John himself was in great form from the ends that I saw played.
On the 10th end John's rink were leading 12/8 when he he played d a brilliant bowl to get the shot and make 2. With his second bowl he unfortunately moved the jack where it went the wrong way leaving him four down, Marko drew to make it 5 in a tight head and the score then became 12/13 down for John.
That was the last I saw of the game but we see John's rink cleared away in the last three ends where the score was 22/18 to win 28/18
After the game the players thought Bill Galloway played a corker to be the best player while Marko got the nod for his rink
John Goddard is a fine player and just the man you would like holding the last two bowls in any game and has a wonderful rink that are so good in their positions that it is little wonder they remain unbeaten at this stage of the season
CAMBRIDGE KNIGHTS 83 (7 ) DEF COCKBURN ROOSTERS 61 (1)
PLAYED AT CAMBRIDGE
Cambridge came into this game with some very impressive form and looked like it was going to be all one way traffic for them. However for quite sometime it was Cockburn who were in front with three rinks leading the their counterparts.
It was at the 3/4 mark that the Knight asserted their authority to scoot away to a good win.
P. Harris (sk), C. Lander,R. Stockton, W. Maher-------------26
S. Srhoy(sk), G. Catterick , M. Sokol.M. Muslin----------------9
Pieter Harris has the rink going along nicely to record their 3rd win.
It is a long time since we have seen a rink led by Steve Srhoy on the back foot and the score does reflect their are problems for this rink.
D. Opie (sk), M. McGann,B. Katunarich, G. Kane------------23
D. Brown(sk), W. Tepania , K. Brown M. Trewhella --------16
David Opie has won his 3rd game
and since the positional swap they haven't lost,
Daniel Brown changed his rink which had been going well
with no losses for the season. These changes see him lose his first game for the season.
T. Smallacombe (sk)N. Lewis, S. Rushforth, B. Kiely-------19
M. Kurta (sk), M. Zusman , S. Perica J. Galipo--------------22
Matt Kurta returns to play his first game for the season and brings home the bacon with a good win against a good rink, The game was setup by Joe Galipo who played a great leader's game to make it awkward Trystan Smallacomb'e rink. The others followed the path laid out by Joe and we see the result.
Word to come out of the game was Trystan Smallacombe had an off day and was not as sharp as he usually is.
The Jones Boy (sk) A. Heal, T. Walsh, , R. Bolton-----------15
G. Carberry(sk), S. Cerff, J, Trewhella, S. West -------------14
The Jones Boy got out of jail in this game which was an unusually low scoring game.
Gary Carberry's rink led going into the last end
14/11 and dropped a 4 to lose the game by 1 shot.
The word to come out of this game was the brilliant game played by Steve Cerff. This player has played a couple of ripper games and is great value in this position.
A lucky let of for the Jones boy and his rink
Sth PERTH MILLERS 84 (6) def YOKINE DOGGIES 77 (2)
PLAYED AT STH PERTH
Sth Perth Millers came into this game as favourites but we did expect the Yokine Doggies would throw out a challenge and this they did. , Yokine could not really afford to lose this game and the loss has set them back and a position in the finals in now almost out of the question.
The Millers would no be so affected if they lost but of course losing was not on their minds as the carpet kings set about winning the game and now are in top position on the table. As things panned out it was Yokine who got away to a good start and led by 25/30 shots and sitting in the box seat. However that lead soon evaporated and the Doggies were overhauled and sent back to the kennel with 2 points
S. Lunn(sk), G. Reagan ,S. Walker, T. Percival-----------------12
J. O' Keefe (sk), R. Rewko, A. Durrant, W. Coffey----------------21
A good win for Jamie O`Keefe who incidentally has been selected to the State squad.
Steve Lunn is new to the skippers role and so far has not won a game at home on the carpet. Today was another bad day at the office for him and his rink and one would think that changes could be on the cards
if the trend continues.
M.lull(sk), F. Carbone, M.Tro jack, M. Hughes, ---------------27
S. Edmonds (sk) J. Carter, lee Farrell, I. Coghill --------------14
The rink of Matt Elull goes from strength to strength and in this game they were down 0/9 then proceeded to win 25/3
of the next ends then finally 27/14 to send Scott and the rink back to the Kennel without the point.
Matt and his boys are now only 1 of 3 rinks in Premier League to remain unbeaten and a showdown looms large when they take on Osborne Park who have two undefeated rinks at home next week
E. Dodd(sk) A. Davis, M. Lemos, J. Lorencs --------------------26
N.
Reagan(sk), K. Pride, S. Hamilton, G. Pauling -------------20
Eddy Dodd is getting the best out of his rink and they have continued on with their great form. Coming off their win against Tony Skoric which was just the tonic for them after losing their first two game by the barest of margins which incidentally were last bowl of the game losses..
Nick Reagan was looking for his first win for the season but it was not to be
He has had a few changes to his rink but a win still eludes him. Not sure if there are many changes left to make for his rink
R. Bresland(sk), B. Bandy, D. Bandy, S. Kelly------------------25
R. Heaton,(sk) , I. Cooper, S. Sloan , J. McGrath---------------14
Ross Bresland have done well so far this season and this win brings the 3rd of the season. Coming into this game the punters would have put their money on Ross's rink playing against Rod Heaton's rink who so far have been winless.
