DOUBLEVIEW POWERHOUSE(81) 7 def YOKINE DOGGIES (73) 1
This game was never going to be in doubt comparing the strengths of both sides. The PowerHouse were 100/1 odds on to win.
A great effort by three Doggie rinks but for the second time in the space of 7 days Rod Heaton's rink has got barrelled again, last week 6/40. This week 12/34 and that was after bringing in the changes.
The PowerHouse simply have a stronger 16 and that was on show for this game

J. Jaworski (sk) Prickles Thorn, D. Slavich, P. Ker--------------17
S. Edmonds (sk) J. Carter, lee Farrell, I. Coghill----------------16

D. Trewhella (sk) R. Dempsey, J. Bausor, C. Slavich-------------20
E. Dodd(sk) A. Davis, M. Lemos, J. Lorencs---------------------- 18
This game was a beauty with nothing much in it. Eddy Dodd and his boys were pretty good last week against Steve Srhoy and lost by 1. Daniel Trewhella had a comfy win last week.
This game saw Eddy Dodd and his rink leading right up to the last end 18/ 15.
The Daniel Trewhella led rink picked up 5 biggies to snatch a great win 20/18

K. McIlroy (sk) A. Delaporte, G. Nelson, M. Mitchell------------14
J. O'Keefe (sk), R. Rewko, A. Durrant, W. Coffey-----------------27
Jamie O`Keefe's rink had a hard battle last week but kept hanging in there to lose by a respectable margin against Cockburn. Kyle McIlroy just lost in the Cambridge game so this game had all the ingredients for a great game. The score line shows a comfortable win for Jamie O`Keefe who had one change to his rink where we saw Adrian Durrant come into the side for his first game of the season.

J. Slavich (sk) P. Buller, R. Barns, C. Tunstall.------------------31
R. Heaton,(sk) , I. Cooper, S. Sloan, J. McGrath ----------------12
John Slavich and his rink were in complete control in this game as the scores do indicate. Word was that Cameron Tunstall was in brilliant touch and led magnificently then backed up by Roger Barns who had a goodie then Pat "BullsEye" Buller weighed in with a good game also which left the Doggies in a spot of bother to which they had no answer.

WANNEROO EXPRESS (81) 6.5 def CAMBRIDGE KNIGHTS (72) 1.5

-----------Geoff "The Mailman" Ellis delivers another victory to the Express
--------------------Geoff "THE MAILMAN" Ellis

Terrific win here for the Express, certainly not favourites in this game. Most would have thought with 4 State players being in charge at the back for the Knights would be the difference in this contest.
Well it was not to be for the Knights but Wanneroo jumped put of the blocks and pounded the Cambridge Knights so much so they led after 12 ends had been played 16/3. They kept the pressure up to maintain a healthy buffer which was handy because the Knights did come back, however the damage was done and it was a fine victory for the Wanneroo Express.

S. Davies (sk), T. Alden, S. Alden, D. Griffin----------------------23
T. Smallacombe(sk), N. Lewis, S. Rushforth, B. Kiely------------17
This game was on the far rink so we weren't able to see much of the game but one thing seemed to standout was the amount of driving Trystan Smallacombe was doing, and yes he was doing it well with several good connections and saves.
The score went this way for Stein and his rink who were always leading. 7/0, 7/4, 10/4, 14/5, 15/5 on the 15th end. From here things went better for Trystan's rink who charged home to be 17/19 down with one end left to play.

G. Ellis (sk), P. Knight, Dave Triffit, H. Ward--------------------24
David Opie(sk), Brian Kat, Mick McGann, Greg Kane-----------14
The Mailman Geoff Ellis had another great day and is in tip top form at the moment and he along with his rink had David Opie down and out and it seemed with nowhere to go The Mailman led 7/5 on the 8th end, 19/5 on the 14th end and then to go on and win 24/14. The Mailman played a corker and made several conversions while the word was that David Opie played well.

C. Adams(sk), R. Humphryson, P. Potts, S. Donohue-----------18
P. Harris(sk), C. Lander, R. Stockton, W. Marr
------------------18
This was a game that looked all but over at the conclusion of the 11th end with the Wizard and his rink in control. Reg Humphreyson was playing a beauty, Phil Potts was in fine touch and Sean O`Donohoe was going great guns up front and is a player to watch out for in the future.
Suddenly a change came over the game in defining 12th end where Clive lost a five followed by a 1 to see the score at 14/11 and suddenly Pieter Harris was back in the game and then it was game well and truly on.
Pieter and his boys went on to lead 17/15 and from there on it ended in a draw. From what I was able to se of this game there was plenty of skill and pressure and a draw was probably a good result.

R. Bates (sk), B. Axford, N. Costello, M. Hulbert----------------14
The Jones Boy(sk), Tony Walsh, Aj Heal, R. Bolton------------18
Last week Ron Bates's rink held John Goddard down to a 1 shot win while the Jones Boy and his rink got smashed. So it was always going to be an interesting clash because Jones Boy's rink are better that they showed last week
Sherro hasn't seen some of these players play before and must say how lucky for me that he now has.
It was such a high standard game with both leaders setting the standard, Ross Bolton is a very good leader and had a terrific game while Murray Hulbert went toe to toe with Ross and they set the game up to make the game what it was.
It was nip and tuck right up to end 14 and the standout players were the leaders, Aj Heal and both skips. The thirds Tony Walsh and Ron Axford weren't bad at all but generally not having an impact on the game up to this stage.
Both the skips were terrific but the Jones Boy was probably the difference between the two sides with his pinpoint draw and his running shots paid off more often than Ron Bates. But lets be clear here that Ron Bates was going pretty well .
Finally the break came for the Cambridge boys when they shot out to lead 17/11 and finally win 18/14.
The last few ends saw Brian Axford really come good to keep the pressure on while it must be said that Neville Costello was also having an influence.
All in all this was a great game to watch., the skill level was high and where on many occasions the result of the end was not decided till the skips had finished bowling.
Ron Bates has had two losses but he can take heart from this considering who he has played against in the games so far. John Goddard one week and the Jones Boy in week two.

VICTORIA PARK REDS(6) 73 def OSBORNE PARK SAINTS (2) 72
Victoria Park Reds went into this game clear favourites while Osborne Park who have had to restructure their 16 were not without some sort of chance but you would not have put your money on them.
Osborne Park Saints led for the most part of the day and were overhauled late in the game.
The win was setup by Rhett Butler who got hold of first year Premier League skip Kevin Pickering and his rink to bring home the big end of the points.
The other winner Russell Hughes's rink held on for a tight win against Gary Caffell's "G" team.
A good result for another first time Premier League skipper in David Rankin and his rink who beat Anthony Provost's rink. This was a tight game with Daniel Patterson doing a great job of leading and putting the pressure
Dave Rankin's rink was 5 behind with about 6 ends to play got up to make it a draw at 18/18 with the last end to be played, it was a measure for shot on the last end and the measure went the Saints way.
John Goddard and his boys have kept their unbeaten record after disposing of G. Wishart's rink by 12 shots

R.Hughes(sk), S. Bainbridge, T. Valiance, G. Quann ------------------19
G. Caffell,(sk) G. "Wings " Evans, G.Nicol, G. King-------------.-------15

D. Rankin (sk), P. Caffell, R. Lawrence, J. Coleman--------------------19

SOUTH PERTH MILLERS (62) 81 def KALAMUNDA (2) 73 def
The South Perth Millers go up the hill with a an away win on their mind. This game was about a 50/50 choice. Kalamunda won last week and they have had the wood over the Millers last season. A win today was all important for both sides.

S. Lunn(sk), K. Pride, G. Reagan, K. Howieson-----------------20
N. Griffin (sk),J. Morss, T. Dellar, P. Natalotto----------------15
Steve Lunn wins his first game as a skip and you can imagine how he would have felt. After all a win against Neale Griffin is an acheivement considering the form Neale and his boys were in last week against Dalkeith.

M.Elull(sk), F. Carbone, M.Trojack, M. Hughes----------------24
B.Brandsma(sk), M. Clancy, R. Eddy, R. Payne---------.-------18

Matt Elull and his rink has two wins on the stat sheet to show for the season so far and what a win considering you don't usually get an easy game against Billy Brandsma

N. Reagan(sk), S. Walker, T. Percival, G. Pauling
--------------19
N. Payne (sk), S. O`Neil, E. Sydenham, R. Pringle--------------21
They did say Neil Payne was in sensational touch last week and has once again come into the clubhouse with the point. If Kalamunda are to avoid relegation a lot rests on his shoulders. Nick Reagan was almost unbeatable last season where he has tasted defeat only 5 times. Still a loss as small as this to what appears to be Kalamunda's best rink is good

M.Biglin(sk)F.Anderson,JohnWardrop,M. douthie-----------26
R. Bresland(sk), B. Bandy, D. Bandy, S. Kelly--------------.----18

Mitch Biglin has come up trumps against Ross Bresland in a reversal of last weeks form while Ross Bresland's rink have come down from the high's of last week's win against Russell Hughes

DALKEITH SIVERTAILS (6) 80 def COCKBURN (2) 74
Cockburn Roosters had a brilliant win last week against the Yokine Doggies. Today would be just a formality to get the game out of the way and think about their next game. Dalkeith had been roundly criticised and with good reason after losing to Kalamunda and considering their stellar season last year.

Well myself and many others would have not dreampt what would have happened today. It seemed the real Silvertails showed up to play at Cockburn, if this is going to be the case then we are in for a great season that will be choc full of interest.

Tom Williams's rink that struggled last week was leading 19/1
The Kraker was leading 14/1
Tony Skoric was leading 9/1

M. Krajancic(sk), J. Morgan, R. Donald, V. Colley-------------------19
G. Carberry(sk), S. Cerff, J, Ravlich, M. Muslin----------------------12
Marko Knows the cockburn green like th back of his hand and that knowledge is invaluable. to lead 14/1 against Gary Carberry after his wonderful game last week you would never think of slowing down from that position. But the word to come out of this game is that Gary Carberry come good 5 ends from home to help fight back the deficit.

T. Skoric (sk), L. Richardson,W. Tan, S. Back-----------------------18
S.Shroy(sk), J. Trewhella, S. Perica, M. Sokol.-----------------------20
Great start by Tony Skoric's rink to lead the Slammer 9/1 but it proved to be not enough to hold for the point that was available in this game. Steve Srhoy has always been a tough customer to beat and it is no surprise to see his rink to back from that deficit.

P. Bacich(sk), M. Lindsay, V. Santostefano, P. Gason---------------16
D. Brown(sk), M. Zusman, H. Sear, M. Trewhella--------------------27
This rink will always be hard to beat

T. Williams(sk), J. McIntosh, R. Mitchell, J. McCormack----------27
L. Catterick (sk), K, Cousins, J. Galipo, P. Novak-------------------15
A great comeback after last weeks result to be an unbeleivable 19/1 in front and to hang in there to finish with a 27/15 result.
