Round 12 brings an important set of fixtures for Vic Park Reds, the Doubleview PowerHouse, the Cambridge Knights and Cockburn. The other fixtures don't have any bearing in the overall scheme of things in this round

Game of the round clash between Victoria Park Reds and the Doubleview PowerHouse should be a ripper, how far have the Reds come will be determined this weekend

A Cockburn revival here is a must while the Wanneroo Express will have a long trip down and back to Cockburn

Osborne Saints are on fire while the Bulls to have no where to go on their performance of last week

Cambridge Knights are on a roll and will be too good for the Millers at Cambridge

Kalamunda up on the hill and really chuffed with their good win last week should deliver another defeat to Melville

Danny Slavich looks comfy getting this bowl away

---Danny Slavich

Danny Slavich has been a prominent player for the Doubleview PowerHouse this season playing as a second, his rink has lost only two games this season

B. Urquhart(sk), R. Ball, J. Bausor, C. Slavich

--------------------Russell Hughes

-------------------Russel Hughes
Russell Hughes is the best skipper over the past three years in the Premier League

It's show time and bit of the old razzle dazzle will be on show when these two Premiership contenders teams meet on saturday.
Games don't get any bigger than this one where their will be more to the game than just winning.

The Reds are up and about at the moment and are on a roll as they say. They are a pretty fiesty team that uses a lot of talk and barracking for their team mates, it seems their motto is one for all and all for one.
The PowerHouse are similar and aren't to be short changed in this area either.
The atmosphere should be terrific and the Reds will be looking forward to this game because it will be the test they want.
There are plenty of great head to head clashes that can occur in this game. Rooster Wishart has won 7 out of his last 8 games since his rink was revamped with new players and it looks like they have taken the steamroller out with them because of the size of some of their victories.

Dennis Katunarich and his rink have been in and out with their form while the rink of John Slavich has been very consistent and havent lost a game in their past 5 matches.

The PowerHouse have Bruce Urquhart skippering in the past two games and no doubt this is to give him the experience of filling that role, Robbie Ball is not going to be at the club for the long term so it is a good move.

In their first encounter which was at Doubleview the PowerHouse won by 5 shots 73--68.

I expect this game will be a hard tough slog with both sides in winning form. Some one has to lose and considering the Reds lost on two rinks against the Wanneroo Express while the PowerHouse has similar stats on the Saturday
It all comes down to the draw, who plays who is what will determine the winner.

B. Fullagar (sk) Paul Hunter, N. Watson , P. Hunter

-----Peter Healy in action against Victoria Park

---Peter Healy
---------------------
The Saints should pick up another 8 points in the contest. All rinks are going strong for the Saints while Bedford did have two rinks to do well against the Vic Park Reds. David Scott and his rink did well to get within 3 shots of Jeff Mitchell's rink and Stuart Bainbridge's rink did a reasonable job to get within 6 shots of Russell Hughes's rink.

The Bulls just don't have the man power at this level of bowls and the season's end is near which is something the Bulls could happy about. That doesn't mean they won't be having a good go at trying to win this game
The only thing that can get the Saints is complacency. They were beaten by the Bulls in the first round game which surprised many but they had to play on that tricky carpet, that carpet has since been closed by BowlsWA

COKBURN ROOSTERS v WANNEROO EXPRESS

S. Srhoy (sk),J. Galipo, S.Cerff, S. Vassallo
D. Brown (sk) L. Richardson,, M. Sokol, P. Novak,
L. Strahan(sk) G. Carberry , J. Ravlich, M. Musulin
M. Kurta(sk),D. Penman , M.Zusman Perry Sardelic

-----------------------Versus

C. Adams (sk) N.Stevens, G.Cox, P.Potts
G. Ellis (sk), R. Humphreyson, P. Knight,S.Wright
Ron Bates(sk), ------, S. Alden, S. Donohue.
S.Davies(sk), T.Alden,M.Hulbert,D Griffin

Cockburn were humbled by The Cambridge Knights last week. Hopefully for them they will have a full strength side. Last week two of their regulars were missing from the line up. This week the selectors have bought in Gary Carberry, M. Musulin and Perry Sardelic who is the son of the legend Peter Sardelic.
Out go Ivan Jakovich, Peter Kastropil while Steve West is unavailable

This is one of the most important games for Cockburn this season and a loss will put their finals aspirations in jeopardy in their bid to win the Premiership
It was a sorry tale to see the Roosters fold under pressure on their home ground against Cambridge in a game that was so important to them.

Only one rink could take any pride in their effort, that of Daniel Brown who almost stole the show for the Roosters. This rink has come good after a slow start to the season.
However it would be unfair not to mention the brilliant form of Lance Strahan when his rink went down by 6 to Trystan Smallacombe

Wanneroo have just about spent all their bullets now and this game could be considered mission impossible, but Sherro would not write them off all together with a couple of rinks very capable of winning their game.
Geoff Ellis's rink really got going last week and there is no reason why they could not keep that form as well as the Wanneroo Wizard's rink who had a great win against Russell Hughes in the Sunday game.
Ron Bates rink did well in the circumstances while Stein Davies rink really copped it from Jeff Mitchell and would need a complete form reversal to to do well here

--------KALAMUNDA v MELVILLE MAGIC

N. Payne (sk) S. O`Neil, R. Hutchison, R Pringle B.Brandsma(sk),M. Clancy P.Natalotto T.Natalotto N. Griffin (sk)J. Wardrop , R. Payne , J. Morss
M. Biglin (sk) F. Anderson, J. Rollnik, M. Douthie

----------------------versus

C. Girvan (sk),Cooper, R. Kennedy, J. Birch
C. Fleay(sk), Keating, G.McCormack, Whitewood
S. Hughes (sk), J. Andrew, J. Spadaro. H. Mosford
N. Briely (sk), K. Cousins, R. Ireland, Murray.

Kalamunda could be in 6th place after this game.
They surprised with their fine win against the Millers who usually make things tough for their visitors when playing at home.
Kalamunda have been up and about with two wins on the trot. One rink in particular, that of Neale Griffin has been very competitive in their last three games winning one by 3 and losing the other two games by on shot each time
Billy Brandsma and his rink are also very competitve even tho they have lost their past 5 games, the margins are generally close.

The side to watch out for is Melville Magic's Cameron Girvan and his rink who have been a tough nut to crack on a saturday afternoon for all rinks that play them He lost by just 3 shots to Daniel Trewhella, the rink has been most impressive and they have the most hope to snare a point for Melville. Colin Fleay is a bit in and out but could surprise with a win in this game .

CAMBRIDGE KNIGHTS V Sth PERTH MILLERS

T.Smallacombe (sk) N. Lewis,W. Maher, B. Kiely
The Jones Boy (sk) T. Walsh, N. Bolton, R. Bolton.
R. Stockton (sk) A. Heal, G. Kane, H. Christensen
B. Katunarich (sk) M. McGann, J. Mobilia ,D.Irvin

------------------------versus

R Bresland(sk), Antonio, F. Carbone, D. Stewart
S Walker,(sk) R Bandy, S Kelly, J Cunningham
Nic Reagan (sk) S. Lunn, T. Percival M.Hughes
G White (sk),K.Pride, N Rees, D Lyons

The Cambridge Knights are back home at the Fortress this week after their blistering win against one of the heavyweight challengers for the flag, Cockburn.
Over all the Knights appear to have too much petrol in the tank as a 16. The main interest will be if the Millers Nick Reagan and his rink who are the 4th best performed rink in the Premier League can continue on with their outstanding form.
Trystan Smallacombe, the Jones Boy , Ron Stockton and their rinks are all traveling well. The hope is for Nick and his rink to drag one of these rinks, it will be a good challenge for his rink
The Millers did beat the Knights in the first round and it was on carpet, there may not be a lot of difference between the Sth Perth carpet and the Cambridge carpet.
However I feel the Millers are starting to tail off somewhat and they will not become the first side to win at Fort Cambridge this season.
