Gosnells (7) beat Bedford (1) ..........81/ 71.........
This was a game that has helped to show where Bedford really are at this stage of their development, and the competition, A really top combo would have taken this game against Gosnells, Bedford realize they have some distance to go but were not disgraced with a 10 shot loss.
Gosnells had a hard draw to begin the season playing all the top sides, This win was great to see from their point of view, these wins will make so much difference for them to avoid the relegation zone.
The rink of Lance Strahan has turned in another solid performance with his revamped side,
Cliff Graybrook playing another good game along with the new third Shane Shaw who had a promising display, doing it well in his first appearance for the club.
Andrew { the Jones Boy } Jones, copped it sweet, his lights were put out, 13/20.He felt the team was right off the boil.
While Neil Minchin saw the value of a very good opposition leader, the rink going down 13/21.
All in all it was disappointing for Bedford to lose today, the mood was certainly downcast as the boys returned from Gosnells this evening in a game they, and I, thought they could win.
Best, I guess is not to get to far ahead of things in this comp. Any team can win on its day in this comp.

C. Graybrook{skip},S.Shaw, R. Rushforth, J. Bills-------------17
Trevor Gibbs {skip} R. Cruickshank, T. Close, A. Needham---20

Pretty tight all the way in this game as the scores indicate, the bedford boys found it hard to come terms with a slickTiff green running at 16/17 seconds, leader John Bills had another solid game.
The best player for Gosnells was the Skipper who had a great day Trevor Gibbs
The best player for Bedford was Cliff Graybrook.

=========================================================

A. Jones { skip}, B. Norriss, Paul Hunter, A. Mayer---------------13
B. Galloway{skip}, P. Pohe, G. Nicol,F. Carbone-------------------20

The Bedford boys were in the game for a while but none were up to their previous performances and it was thought the game was well below One Red standard as far as Bedford were concerned with their performance. That said, the Bedford boys say that Bill Galloway's rink were more than worthy winners.
The best player for Gosnells was the third Paul Pohe.
The best player for Bedford was leader Adi Mayor.
=========================================================

Neil Minchin {skip}, K. Collins, Peter Hunter, V. Colley-----13
S. Davies {skip}, K. Bairstow, N. Mulcahy, G. Strahan--------21

Minchy was a little downbeat but was full of praise for the opposition leader Greg Strahan who dominated the game with an such an outstanding performance, his rink just couldn't overcome, Neil also felt he may have played the Tiff grass wrong, that said, Bedford don't play on Tiff all that often.
Overall it was an ordinary game from all players, with exception of Greg Strahan
Best For Gosnells with an outstanding leaders performance Greg Strahan
Best for Bedford kevin Collins
==========================================================

L. Strahan {skip},L. Krajancic, K. Burke, F.Andrich.....28
M. Yates {skip}, A. Petchell, B. Holland, T. Mitchell.....20

lennyLance Strahan would be on cloud nine with a handy win today tho he would be disappointed at the agg. loss, It seems that Lance now has a side that he is comfortable with, and can win games with.
I have no info on this game so that's it folks.
I did hear Kevin Burke had a good one as two.

Lenny Krajancic { pictured} Having a ball playing third to Lance Strahan.

Yokine (6.5) beatCockburn (1.5)............90/ 71.....
stuThose Hot Dogs got stuck right into Cockburn taking the prize of top spot off them. With Stuart Bainbridge {pictured} and his rink of Mark Illich,Craig Greenhalgh, L.Lorencs leading the way with a massive win over Steve Srhoy 30/13. And Alan Davis and his rink putting the leading rink in the competition of Russell Hughes away 22/16 to set up this fine victory .
This win augers well for Yokine at this stage of the season, the premiership is more of a reality now provided they can keep the momentum going forward.
Daniel Brown's rink was the only line of resistance defeating the second best performed rink in the comp of Marko Krajancic 23/19 and showing last weeks form was wrong..
Steve Srhoys rink has taken a couple of poundings this year and looks vulnerable, maybe some changes on the way.
Congratulations and Well done to Yokine.
=============================================================

Victoria Park (7) Melville (1)...............82/72.....
Victoria Park had a handy win despite the big loss by Peter Harris's rink to Tony Krajancic 11/23. The win was accomplished with continued great form of the very reliable rink of Justin Opie {skip}, Mark Simpson, Nev Young and Tommy Reid backed up by Rooster and his rink. A most important win was that of Maurice Crameri, this rink has to keep it going from here on for the Park to get a spot in the four.
Without the contribution of Tony Krajancic and his rink Melville would be further down the ladder and if they are going to be a threat, the other rinks have to have a greater input.

==================================================

Osborne park (6.5) Cambridge (1.5)...................87/ 70...

Very good result for OP as they continue on with their good form, with Daniel Trewella{skip} Pat Caffell, Ron Francesconi and Paul Fair, taking Scott Edmonds rink to the cleaners with a 22/11 win. Graham Evans and his team backing up with a solid win 24/15 win over Ron Stockton. and another good showing By Dante Mariani.
Cambridge were well served by Trystan Smallacombe's rink to be their only winner.
Cambridge cant seem to get all rinks firing at the same time and till that happens they will struggle.
==================================================

Doubleview (6.5) Safety Bay (1.5).....................98/ 70....
A good win to Doubleview and it underlines just how strong the team is when Kyle McIlroy and his rink have such a huge win 34/6 over John Smith.
Rob Ball has another loss on the board, his brother Terry taking the point 24/21, good to see Graham Scott back in the Bay line up.
Gary Carberry continues to competitive and came out of the contest with a draw to Lindsay Thorne 19/19.
