The Osborne Park Club Championship Triples started today with 12 teams entered
Not a bad field with plenty of top class bowlers involved.
Ken Sutcliff's rink had the luck of the draw missing out on the alignment round but it was by no means an easier draw. Firstly the rink had to get the Club fours winning skip Harley Rankin out of the way
and this he and his rink did with surprising ease.
The second game
Ken played Gordon King which straight away meant it was not an easy path to the final turned out to be a nail biter. Ken and the rink got there by 2 shots and will now contest the final.
Must say what an underrated player Ken Sutcliff is, he is a far better player than one might be aware of.
On what I saw of the game against Gordon, Ken played some world class bowls to get the shot when he was down
The other final I did not see was won by Joe Krstic's rink in a very tight game. Joe is no slouch either when it comes to ability, it must be remembered he almost defeated Daniel Trewhella in the Mt Lawley Consistency Single back in September, Joe lost on an extra end
The final between Joe Krstic and Ken Sutcliff led rinks will be played next week and it is anyone's game. I hope to get the names of all the
players into the score sheet
Young Harley Rankin is now turning out to be Fred DiGuiseppe's worst nightmare after the young fellah beat Fred's rink in the final of the fours and yesterday again defeated Fred's team on their way to the final of the plate

----Ray Wemm putting one down in the Plate game which unfortunately they didn't win
