The Club Championship fours was won by Harley Rankin.(sk) Maurice Hardy, Les Thompson and Bill Stephenson defeating Fred DiGuiseppe(sk), Ray Wemm, Jim Nicolakis and Stuart Lofthouse.

A new format was used to decide the way the event would be run. Players were allocated so many points depending on their grade with a maximum of 17 points per team.

Last season there were only 4 entries for the open Club Fours which prompted this move which was met with approval of Club Members with 22 teams having a go.

Richard Cox came up with this idea and he will feel very much justified and satisfied to see such numbers competing compared to other seasons
