Roundup of day 2 2011

The carnival is over and lets hope it can continue for the years ahead. While only fours sides competed it was a sensational series that have left a lasting impression on West Australians that came to see the best of the best in action and the boys from the East didnt let us down.
It shows there is very little difference in State Pennant competitions when we look at the results.
The powerful Cabramatta Club won the event by the narrowest of margins from Osborne Park who left no doubt the W.A Club is one of the strongest Clubs in Australia.
3rd placed Helensvale were a fraction off off winning this event

Lasting memory for me is the brilliance of Mark Casey who has every shot in the book including a couple we dont know about. He gave the most impressive performance in a high quality competition. A genuine Superstar

Ryan Bester is a player I have never seen play, he has got everything including the kitchen sink, a real top rater.
John Goddard continually impresses and has the record to back up his standing in the game.
David Holt is another who while playing a mainly conservitive game is all quality.
Brett Wilkie is a magnificent drawshot and that was on display for all to see.
I could go on and on but there are too many to mention.

Who will win the National Premier League Title for season 2011
VOTE

Last year there were six sides involved, due to Victoria and Tasmania having already started their pennant season they were not able to send a side this year. Lets hope this exciting competition to find Australia's best pennant side can be arranged to allow all States to be represented in future

South Australia has never been involved in this competition since its inception in 2008.

The National Premier League competition has been going for the last 4 years, Osborne Park, the inaugural winner of the event has now been involved in 3 of the 4 occasions of the National Premier League competition as has Helensvale and Cabramatta. Each has won the title of National Premier League Champions, Osborne Pk 2008, Cabramatta 2009 and Helensvale 2010.

Tuggeranong Vikings have been involved in all four series, they deserve a lot of credit for their consistency to win the A.C.T Premiership over the last four years and have been very competitive

Last years winners Qld side Helensvale, boast of four Australian players, Mark Casey who incidently recently won the inagural Australian Bowler of the year award for 2011, Nathan Rice and Brett Wilkie. Linsey Armitage an outstanding Lady player is also a member of the Australian Ladies side.

N.S.W side Cabramatta have some brilliant players who have plenty of International experience, names such as Peter Bellos, Rowan Brassey, Mat Gallop Ryan Bester and David Holt says a lot as to why the side has won the N.S.W Premier league title in 2009 and 2011, this side will be a very difficult team to beat,

A.C.T side Tuggeranong Valley have played in all series since its inception in 2008 have been good value to the competition having some good wins on various occasions, they have always been very competitive.
The Vikings have two State players Andrew Howie and Rob Craven who played inthe last Interstate side series while Ricky Lindbeck is another who has played many Interstate games represented the A.C.T

Osborne Park have been the best side over the past five years here in the West winning 3 premiership titles, a National Premier League title and were a runner up in that time.
The Saints have only one State Player in their lineup, John Goddard, while Gary Caffell played many games for W.A up until 2008.
They have the current State Pairs champions Wings Evans and Robbie Lawrence included in the side.
