MANY THANKS TO JOHN WEIR FOR THESE SCORES

Clive Adams was runner up last season by the narrowest of margins, This year he is the winner of the Mt Lawley Consistency Singles. In a powerful display of pinpoint drawshot bowling Adams overwhelmed a gallant Shane Knott to claim victory....
Yesterday I would have backed Trystan Smallacombe who incidently was a semi-finalist last season
to win the event based on his outstanding demolition of the reigning champ Thomas Mitchell. I must add that for my money, Tony Krajancic was a dead set cert to roll Shane Knott who had not played the same high end opposition as Tony had to reach the semi's, that is not intended to put down Shanes opponents who all did admiral jobs to reach the stage of the event they had.
When I arrived I thought Geeeezzz Sherro you are on the money with your thoughts when my first vision entering the club saw Trystan and Tony playing against one and other, yes indeed but it was a playoff for 3rd and 4th place
The main game was between State second Clive Adams and State Leader Shane Knott in what was a great game for a long period of the contest. The score read 46 - 34 Adams's way, from there it was nip and tuck until the score read 96 - 84. Almost all of these ends were high quality with little separating the bowls, just depended who of the two players was the most pinpoint.
From there onward Adams asserted contol and broke the game open to dominate with several telling bowls, drawing applause often for the skill he displayed to out draw Knott's close bowls.
The game ended with Adams well in control with a well deserved victory.
Well done to Clive Adams for his brilliant display to win and to Shane Knott for making it to play in the final.
L/R: Clive Adams in anticipation of another telling bowl, ----------Shane Knott delivers

SEMI-FINALS
Clive Adams 131 defeated Trystan Smallacombe 99
Clive Adams won in a top class game against John Slavich to progress to a semi final clash with Trystan Smallacombe who was at the top of his game yeasterday when he crushed Thomas Mitchell. The size of Adams's win is a surprise but he is one of the best singls players in the West. Bad luck for Smallacombe who made it to last years semi finals only to find the door shut on him once again.....
Shane Knott 131 defeated Tony Krajancic 119
Perhaps a surprise win here for Shane but when you reach the semi final there is a good reason for that to happen. Good to see him do well against a star player in Tony Krajancic and what will the future hold for the young fellah? he does have two State titles to his list of credits..
