An outstanding field for the 2011 Mt Lawley Consistency Singles.
Clive Adams will defend the title he won last year and will trying to become one of the very few players that have won it back to back. Clive has an outstanding record in the Mt Lawley Consistencey with several minor placings and a runner up thrown in for good measure.
Shane Knott the runner up to Clive Adams last year has entered and he will be hoping to go that one extra place and become the 2011 Champ.....
It is a very strong field which contains six of the last 7 winners, and Neil Payne who won the title in 2001, Trystan Smallacombe, Daniel Trewhella, Rhett Butler, Thomas Mitchell and Clive Adams, three State Singles winners Anthony Provost, John Goddard Clive Adams and Brian Axford.
Others in this field who have won something of note
in singles play include Glenn Pauling, Matt Mitchell, Mark Pasalich, Kyle McIroy.
However we also have plenty of competitors who while not having won a major singles title will give plenty of oppposition and make life hard for whoever they meet.
Some who come into this category, Scott Edmonds, Stein Davies, Blake Butler, Paul Butler, Rob Foy, Rob Bowron, Dave Rankin, Farley Anderson, Frank Carbone, Matt Ellul, John and Charlie Slavich and Neale Griffin while Cody Packer has won Junior singles titles.
However it doesnt end there with several up and coming players who will certainly come under notice include Chris Bowler, Lewis Grigg, Travis Vallence and Gary Lockett..
There are several more experienced players who will keep the field on its toes................
While nominations are down on last season this is an outstanding field to contest the 2011 Mt Lawley consistency single and may the player who peforms best win the title
