RESULTS FURTHER DOWN THE PAGE


What a great line up of talented players to contest the Best of the West Sets Play Singles. It certainly was One of the most talented fields ever presented in this event.

David Opie. Brilliant player and the newly crowned State Singles winner for 2007.

Anthony Provost Super player, a two time State singles winner.

Russell Hughes. last years Best of the West winner, and semi-finalst in the Australian Open last season

Rhett Butler the Mt Lawley Consistency winner 2006/7 and Vic Park Master singles winner.

Rod Heaton semi finalist in the N.S.W State Singles last season.

Robbie Ball, a legend of the game, one of W.A's best ever players and prolific winner of many State and Masters titles.

Yvonne Lovelock Sherro will fill in the details as soon as I am aware of them.

Peter Aungier, Peter filled in for Hugh McKay, the current Club Champion of Champion singles title holder, who was unavailable. Peter won the Morley Singles and was the logical replacement.

Sherro was unable to attend the games today due to an eye problem.

Both Rhett and David won all their games in their respective sections. A very good showing by the only Lady in the event this year, Yvonne Lovelock who won two of her three games, Boy !! Yvonne really got hold of Robbie Ball which would not be expected.
Both Peter Aungier and Rod Heaton didn't win a game, but I suppose when we consider the quality of the field anything can happen in these type of games.
