What a great game of bowls!!! Hugh McKay was outstanding in this game as
was Sid McCann who threw every thing at Hugh including the kitchen sink.
The game ebbed and flowed with both players drawing extremely well and
Sid's driving was always good to get him out of trouble.
who would win any
end was never certain because a brilliant bowl from either would reverse
what might have been a certain winning end The game was of the highest
standard you could see anywhere with the shot changing several times throughout
the game.
There was never much in the game all the way thru with the largest margin
being 4 shots to Sid McCann on the 1oth end. From the 14th end when the
score was 13/13 there was never more than 2 shots in the game.
In the end it was Hugh who drew best on critical ends yet Sid did so well
to get out of bother also.
One mighty good game and I am sure that neither player will forget
this great game

Wayne Neilson can take a bow for once again presenting magnificent greens.
Wayne Neilson has had a terrific season making the final in the Best of The
West
and now a semi-finalist in the Champion of Club Champion single.
Neil Minchin done a wonderful job to reach the semi's and to be narrowly beaten
by a brilliant Hugh McKay is a mighty effort
