In response to Shane Shaw,

Yes they are supposed to be picked to play bowls and as far as the priesthood well they have convicted of much more than the person in question has so not a fair analogy in hindsight.

This is a much bigger issue than the suspension of one person, would Wa have enjoyed the success they have in the state side series in the past under the same 'dictatorship' regime as the one that is in place now?? I think not, as is happening now the 'stars' of that era would all have been suspended or made themselves unavailable!!

Who really wants to spend their recreation time under such strict supervision as a east german gymnastics team of the 1980's and have to pay cash from their own pockets to do so & be told how to be a good bowler by someone who is not as good as them!!

How to not drink & win games of bowls by someone who can't win as many games as they do!! Common sense has to applied, by no means am I supporting anyone being drunk while on the green representing Wa, though I do not believe this has ever happened, but let the best be the best how they do it which is obviously why they were selected in the first place.

The incident that has caused this suspension was not while representing Wa and therefore makes it a club issue & should be dealt with at that level.

Drunk or not the person you are taking aim at would beat 95% of the bowlers in Wa 95% of the time, appreciate that don't change that!!

Dispute this point??? Let a team of unsavoury & unwanteds play the state team!!

Unsavoury
