Trystan,

Your suggestion has merit, but there is no point in describing current office bearers as keyboard warriors. Be they on the Bowls WA Board or committees they are all hard working in their jobs and they are either current or have been office bearers in their own clubs where the have worked hard in the interests of their club.

Your suggestion that there should be more nominations for positions on Bowls WA board or committees also has merit, but history over the last few years shows that Bowls WA are battling to fill the position.

It is not their fault that only a small number of people nominate for positions. The remedy is for those that whinge about Bowls WA is to step up and take on positions, but you will find it is easier for them to criticise the efforts of others rather than hop in and have a go themselves

The current controversy about corporate bowlers is caused by a dismal lack of communication, but if those whinging would have a look at Bowls WA website they will see that there have been a number of seminars scheduled for both the city and country to explain the concept and to thrash ot the advantages and disadvantages.
So what is the point in twenty-odd people going off half-cocked before the have been presented with all the facts of this proposal.

I hope reason prevails and after the presentation of all the facts of this proposal your club can either accept it or reject it, and remember that no change to the constitution can be made without a 75% majority of clubs agreeing. That is the way democracy works.

Sherro,

It appears George mis-interpreted my previous letter. I wasn\'t referring to BowlsWA staff as keyboard warriors, I was referring to the guys on this website who are keen to write in and critisize BowlsWa decisions without ever putting their hands up to fill a position on a commitee or executive.

i just think we can whinge and moan about about other people\'s decisions we don\'t agree with or we can stand up and make a difference.
