Hi Terry,

Last night @ the club, this stupid idea regarding the fee for Corporate/Community players come up in the normal conversation members have about bowls.

One side which has been playing corporate bowls for around the last 6 years, will not be playing in the next comp we run. This is a family based side which we have got one pennant player out.

Out off corporate bowls we have had around 10 players, start the game because they enjoyed the sport.

We have already accepted entry’s for our next comp. Now if this ridiculous idea comes into play, we are now going to have charge our fee plus the Bowls WA fee.

Now we have accepted the entry & the money now we have to go back to them & ask for some extra coin. Which then doubles oringal costs; we have 2 full greens playing our comp every year (we have to turn sides away most years as we can’t fit them in)

What is wrong with us sending back a report to Bowls WA, saying we have run our comp for six weeks & we had 96 players every week?

Now is Mosman Park going to have to charge the fee every time a group uses the greens for a corporate day?

Because what a cash cow that would be for Bowls WA, as I would guess they would have the most corporate bowlers in the State (only because I have been to couple off functions there), only if groups used the greens once year, I can almost hear the till ticking over right now.
