Sherro,

I understand the frustration of the bowling clubs and members on decisions made by Bowls WA; I was involved with Bowls WA and resigned due to the inactions and blatant disregard to the sport, clubs and members both country and metropolitan.

The process adopted by this organisation in administering the sport is nothing less than farcical and highlights their inability as Managers. The controlling body has forgotten what this sport is about and why they are in positions of power? What happened to developing the sport for the future? Bowls WA is driving people away from the sport??

Now lets talk about the positions, the CEO was appointed to the position by the executives for which I believe due process was not followed, I know for a fact that a bowler of many years and a professional manager applied for the position and was not even given an interview or the courtesy of a reply to his application, this alone shows how far out dated the system is that it cant even follow due process.

Personally I believe the situation with South Perth and Yokine, Fixture Books, Country Week fees allocation, Corporate Bowlers, State Players paying to play, needs to be resolved by the bowling community make a stand and issue a vote of no confidence in the current committee and let's get the right people for the right positions.

I have been playing this sport for over 27 years 10 within the premier division, and I can't remember it being as bad as it is now, many people I have spoken with (young Bowlers) are thinking of taking up cricket????
