Dear Pam

Re: Pat Buller's Letter - viz Proposed Levy on Non Capitated Bowlers

I am writing to say that I agree with everything Pat mentioned in his letter with the exception of the Heat Rule, which I support, being a "senior" and lower division player

Reason as follows:

As many clubs now have synthetic greens, (carpet), and it looks like the future will bring more, as they save in overall costs to maintain. The lower divisions in a lot of cases where there are both grass and carpet, usually have to play on the carpet.

It is a known fact that the carpet is usually 15 - 20 degrees higher than atmosphere, and very unpleasant to play on when the temperature is up around the 40 mark. So unless clubs do as Innaloo intend to do, and cover their synthetic green in summer, I say keep the heat rule.

ps - What is this new "Development Officer" going to do that the clubs don't do for themselves for nothing?
