Like Peter Middleton I ended up not playing in the Over 60 Triples due to the inability to play in a composite team.

Far from preventing the "stacking" of teams and increasing the level of participation what this has done is allow clubs with a large number of players to field strong teams while the smaller clubs, because of limited numbers (provided there are enough willing to play), field weaker teams with a likely effect of actually reducing the level of participation.

I have suggested to BowlsWA that if only club sides be permitted to participate then due to the entry restrictions, the event should not be called State 0ver 60 Triples Championship but State Club Over 60 Triples Championship.
