Sherro,
A couple of freinds and I intended to enter a team in the over 60's state triples but after reading the 'conditions of play ' we could not enter the team as we were from different clubs (no composit teams allowed).
I questioned Bowls WA and was advised that "the over 60's committee" had decided to restrict the teams to reduce the chance of "stacking" and attract more players!
What a crock of rubbish.
Why this particular event and not other state events? I know the over 60's players don't mean much to many of the supposed top bowlers but those over 60's players contribute significant funding to the running of bowls in this state.
This is blatant discrimination and another example of an lame and inept Bowls WA.
It is becoming clearer all the time that there needs to be significant changes to the administration of Bowls WA before some serious and permanent damage is done to our sport.
