Facebook remarks cost Ganderton
Monday, 7 December 2009
Apprentice Daniel Ganderton has been fined $1,000 by Racing NSW after pleading guilty to a charge of conduct prejudicial to the image of racing.
Ganderton was forced to face stewards after offensive and obscene entries on his Facebook site were brought to their attention.
The entries have been described as being of a general nature and did not name any individual.
Nevertheless, they were considered to be in poor taste for a licensed person.
Ganderton has been sidelined since September with a broken leg and hopes to make a return to race riding this weekend
