Since my letter re the above subject I have had a chat to Gail Susac,umpires chairlady, who said to write to Bowls WA re dispensation for cripples.

I did, explaining my case and had a reply from Bowls WA saying the matter had been passed on to Gail.

This morning I had a phone call from Gail saying that it was OK to sit on the bank - ditch, presumably where uprights are not accessible, at our own risk.

This is cool with me as no one is going to risk a broken leg etc when someone drives.

Bowls WA have been getting a bit of a bad rap lately so it shows common sense can prevail, for which I thank them.
