ONE WHITE REVIEW ROUND EIGHT 7/1/06

January 8, 2006

Warwick
V Morley
November 20th 2005 saw Warwick sitting at the head of the table and they kept this authoritive position until the Christmas break. However the walls came tumbling down after round 8 when the revitalised Morley team came to visit.
Winning on all 4 rinks the Morley boys went home contented and as it turned out all other results saw Warwick being leap frogged by no less than 4 teams and relinquishing not only top spot but a position in the top 4. Morley will continue on their winning way next Saturday when they host the winless Innaloo and Warwick’s slide will continue when they travel to Gosnells.

North Beach V Gosnells
North Beach jumped into the top 4 for the first time this season with a hard fought aggregate win over Gosnells. Greg Hill and Mal Potter showed the way for the Beach boys doing just enough to counteract the two narrow losses of the Devenish and Bowen rinks.
North Beach are now starting to hit their straps and if they can get over the inconsistent Kardinya team in round 9 the foundations could be laid for a return to the big league next season.

Safety Bay v Innaloo
Safety Bay are cock-a-hoop. Sitting on top of the ladder, plenty of home games remaining and a spirited team all goes well for a top 4 finish. Albeit Innaloo that they defeated, a win is a win, and the southerners will be eagerly awaiting the Kalamunda boys on Saturday for what looms as a tense top of the table clash

Thornlie V Kalamunda
I am so used to reporting that the Payne and Griffin rinks carried Kalamunda to another victory but not this week.
Billy Brandsma and Rick Eddy kept off the Christmas pudding and egg nog and started 2006 in a winning way ensuring that major points went to the boys from the hills. Thornlie have been nothing short of disappointing this season.

Scarborough V Kardinya
In the remaining game of round 8 Geoff White and Ron Kuziela carried the aggregate for Scarborough in their 23 shot victory over Kardinya. Tony Cocodis had another rink win for the Kardinya team taking his record to 8 from 8. Rumour has it that Tony is in such good form that when he is down on the head, his third asks him to drag the kitty and this shot has been christened “The Cocodis Trail”.
