One White review round three
November 22, 2005
Warwick, DEF Kalamunda in the game of the day, our poll said Kalamunda
72% Warwick 28%--- not often is our poll wrong. Well done on a fine victory
to the Warwick Club.
Greg Hill, a selector at North Beach, told me last week that his team would
turn the corner in round 3 and beat the strong Morley team. He was nearly
correct. They didn’t just beat them they trounced them by 72 shots.
Veteran skipper, Merv Potter, led the way with a comprehensive thumping
of the Morley rink led by brother of Sherro.
North Beach travel to Innaloo
next weekend and will continue on their winning way and continue their
climb up the ladder. Morley must regroup when they host Gosnells next Saturday.
Warwick’s dream start gathered further momentum with a strong win over
the highly fancied Kalamunda 16. Allan Hogarth and his team chalked up another
victory giving him 3 wins and +45 shots for the season. Warwick takes on Thornlie
in round 4 and there is no reason why it won’t be 4 wins in 4 games.

in the new season
Kalamunda will be back in the winners circle when they play Scarborough in
the hills next weekend.Previously undefeated
Thornlie were no match for the
steady Kardinya team. The Cocodis led rink made in 3 wins from as many games
but he may struggle
to keep his perfect record intact when they travel south next Saturday to take
on Safety Bay.
As expected Scarborough were far too good for the depleted Innaloo
line up. Hugh McKay and Ron Kuziela recorded big wins to secure the points.
Scarborough
has a wealth of talent and experience but they must start winning away from
home to be any sort of a threat this year
.
Safety Bay will be delighted with
their win away to Gosnells. What has happened to the “Big Bear” Bairstow down Gosnells way? The man who was the
Kat’s nemesis whenever they met is in hibernation. 3 losses and -43
shots is not the start to the season he would have been planning.
2 winners
with my selections for round 3 was not entirely what I was planning.
