The attached photo's are of Steve Beckwith who was part of a Gingin 4's team playing at Manning today.
Steve made the mistake of staying with "friends" from another Gingin team last night. When he arrived at Manning and unpacked his gear for the first game you can imagine his horror to find 4 half bricks had been substituted for his bowls. He took it in good spirit hence the photo's. He didn't even twig when he saw team mate Mark Simpson struggling with his bag of 8 bowls.
Whilst Simmo thought he was in on the joke it was only later in the day when we noticed the same practical jokers had implanted a lipstick imprint on Simmo's shirt collar.
He said it must have been them when we proved it wasn't red wine, and we believed him. Very trusting us country boys.
