G’day Sherro
Well we’ve been here in Tassie for 3 months and all is good. I am working full time at the Grand Chancellor Hotel in Launceston and playing bowls at the Longford Club.
We have one game remaining in the home and away season and are sitting comfortably in 2nd spot.
I have slotted in to be playing 3rd for Mark Strochnetter and am really enjoying it.
A few stats on the North Tasmanian Bowls Association.
5 Divisions with 10 teams in each Division
18 Home and Away Games
25 Ends 14 Points available each game - 2 points for a rink win and 6 points for the aggregate
Season Started 13/10/07
Grand Finals 12/4/08
Winners play in State Pennant Final against winners of other Associations.
No games on Public Holidays or when State Team is away
Top 4 this year in Division 1 are 1)
Kings Meadows 2) Longford 3) North Launceston 4) Trevallyn (will keep you posted on the finals results.
