Yokine Doggies Best player award
May 29, 2011
The vote count for the Doug Ranger / Ken Shaw memorial trophy for the Best Player in the Premier League side was held on Saturday night and the results were as follows
1. Erron Martin -------------177
2. Rick Eddy ----------.------169
3. Richard DeSousa ------.--168
4. Mike Nilson ---------------165
Congratulations to Erron Martin the winner of Yokine 2011 best player award.
Erron joined Yokine at the start of the season and played as a 3rd during the season.
What a turn around for Erron a former Vic Park player who was unable to crack a game at the Vic Park Reds in his last season, and now to be voted best
player for Yokine is a great accomplishment indeed.
No doubt Yokine would be very happy to have approached Erron at the start of the season and see the dividend he has returned to the Club.
Rick Eddy was another to be recruited just before the start of the season and certainly proved to be a good move for he and the Doggies.
Once he was given the skip responsibilities ½ way thru the season was where his true worth was exposed defeating quite a few talented sides.
Richard De
Sousa is a quality leader and also played occasional second. Always competitive and true fighting spirit.
Skipper Mike Nilson ran 4th once again and is a good consistent performer who caused more than an upset or two thru the season for the Doggies.
2011.....................Erron Martin
