WINNER
A wonderful result for Chris McKenna to win the best player award in his first season at Mosman.
Chris played mainly as a leader during the time he was at Cambridge.
He got a break about halfway in the 2009-10 season when he played as a 3rd for the Jones Boy who was so impressed with Chris he kept him in that position for the rest of the 2009-10 season.
Chris transferred from Cambridge at the beginning of this season and played the first 10 games as a second, was then promoted to play 3rd and finished the season playing the last 8 games in that position for Daniel Brown's rink who were sensationally good winning 9 of their last 10 games of the season, that is surely an outstanding contribution to the Mosman side and the major reason why they came into strong contention to win the flag.
Daniel Brown was very high in his praise of Chris who has turned out to be a prize recruit and most certainly played his part to help the Mozzies make it thru to the Preliminary final.
EQUAL SECOND
Daniel Brown also stood up to be counted during the season and had perhaps his best ever season after surprisingly losing his place in the State side. With much to prove he showed without a doubt he can go with the best of them. Over the years Daniel has proved to be one of the best skippers in the PL. With stats of 13 - 5 + 108 it is no wonder that Mosman made it thru to play in the preliminary final
EQUAL SECOND
Matt Ellul is recognized as being in the best three skippers in W.A. He produced his magic in some critical games to pull the Mozzies out of the fire and into a win.
When the chips are down, Matt Ellul is the go to man who has produced match winning bowls when under the pump on many occasions.
FOURTH
Former Cockburn player Steve West is another who joined Mosman this season so he could play with his good friend Browny displaying he is a quality lead and played a vital role in the great performance of this rink.
FIFTH
Glenn Ellis, a wonderful player who is one of the better seconds playing PL and has been for a long time. His consistent draw shot, and the ability to produce under pressure is a hallmark of his temperament and a featue of his game.
