Another highly successful Stirling fours. There were 42 teams playing
in this event on Sunday.
The first Stirling Winter Open Four’s winter Carnival was held on Sunday 7th June, with 42 teams (“full house”) competing for $2,900 of cash prizes. Whilst Frank McGrath was enjoying a holiday, a very capable Roslyn Slavich (a familiar name in bowling circles) stepped in and ran the event without a hitch.
It was a most successful day and everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoy the hospitality and excellent two-course lunch put on by the ladies in the kitchen.
There was some great bowling played on the 3 carpet greens that ran fast all day under the fine and sunny conditions. Three games x 13 ends were played and at the conclusion of play 7 teams were undefeated and it came down to shots up to determine the winners and place getters.
Dinko Golem all smiles and
$1400.00 better off after he and his rink's big win in the Stirling Fours
