June 2, 2008
There were 28 teams in this event.
The Fosters split fours carnival was organised and managed by Frank McGrath who as usual did a fantastic job. Well done Frank.
There were several high quality teams entered to play in this event that never got into the money. One of those was Anthony "The Pro" Provost who was well placed with two rounds to play but was beaten in the pairs by Ken Monkhouse and Lee Salter which eventually proved to be a costly loss. This is the first ocassion that "The Pro" has been out of the money since his return to bowls.

There is that man again, none other than the Osborne Park Saints 2008 Rosenthal Medallist and State Singles champ John Goddard. John certainly gets around and on this occassion had the very promising Brad Ball playing three and it seems Brad is having a ball with yet another good performance in a top line event. Of course the rink had two of the best country players in the business to top of a very good combination, David Van Horn and John Fewster. Congratulation are in order for the players
