Review One Blue North/South Pennant Finals

Kardinya won the Pennant for 2008/9 defeating Bassendean in a tight game at Carlisle Lathain last Sunday. The score difference was not much, 82/80.
Without the contribution of Justin Opie for One Blue North it would have been a pretty bad scorecard for the Bassendean Lions..

Kardinya Cats were superior on all other rinks underlining their over all strength which will keep them very near the top of the One White ladder, I will go so far as to say that Kardinya will finish in the top two next season.

Bassendean Lions have been a little exposed on their biggest day and have some work to do if they are to succeed in One White next season. They need more rinks contributing to the cause. Without the contribution of Justin Opie's rink this season it could have been a far different year for Bassendean

The rink scores show that Kardinya were simply too strong for the One Blue North champions, Bassendean.

It is noticeable that all rinks in Kardinya were in the top six of the best performed rinks in One Blue Sth while Bassendean were a little more strung out, Justin Opie's rink were the 2cnd best performed rink in the two divisions of Blue Sth and Nth with Craig Geenhalgh in 17th position

The well performed rink of Danny Comrie was the 4th best performed rink in One Blue South were too good for Marcel Huerer's rink who finished 16th on the list of best performed rinks in One Blue North.

Justin Opie's rink who were the best performed rink finishing number one in One Blue North this season, finished the season off in spectacular fashion to smash Terry Ball's rink who finished in 5th position in the rink ranking list for One Blue Sth.

Wayne Heldt's rink was the sixth best performed rink in One Blue South and has had a comfortable win over the 17th best performed rink in One Blue North

Michael Yates and his rink were the second best rink in One Blue South and really flexed their considerable talents to inflict a hefty loss against John Lynch's rink who finished 10th in the rink ranking for One Blue North
