East Fremantle v Cockburn
East Fremantle will host Cockburn following their exiting one shot win over new comers Mt Pleasant in the opening game of season 08/09; Cockburn will also be looking for another strong performance similar to last Saturday where they toppled one of the fancied sides Manning by three shots.
The Blue and Whites had strong contributions across the rinks for their first outing, none more so than the rink of Rob Hunter winning 24-18 against Geoff White, with the last bowl of the day, Rob took out Mt Pleasant's shot bowl with a perfectly controlled running shot to earn two shots and the aggregate by one shot.
East Freo will be working hard to ensure this weekend is much the same, Cockburn will also be looking to start the new season with two wins from two, the Peter Sardelic rink provided the impetus for the home side by upsetting Milan Jokic 25-15, the final result will be close East Fremantle at home will be hard to beat,

Kardinya v Gosnells
Kardinya will be looking forward to a return to their familiar surroundings this week to take on Gosnells, Kardinya were soundly beaten by Safety Bay in the opening game picking up half a point for their trouble.
Gosnells were trounced by Rockingham however still managed to salvage some respect with two rink wins.
This game will be difficult for Gosnells, in the opening game Jason Bryan battled hard all day to win 19-16 against Keith Gould while Maurice Crabb 21-13 over the Tony Tuckerman provided the only highlights for Gosnells.
The Kardinya side will be looking to kick start this season last week the only contribution came from the Mike Yeates rink 19-19 against Allan Holmes, this game will be clear cut, the Kardinya side has too much fire power for the Gosnells side
the result will be Kardinya 8 / 0.
Spearwood v Mt Pleasant
Spearwood returns home to take on Mt Pleasant, in the opening game Spearwood were given a wake up call by Vic Park while Mt Pleasant lost by one shot to East Freo.
Spearwood will welcome back a number of key players for this game and should be close to full strength for this encounter, first game skipper Dominic Salvetti won convincingly 25-15 against Greg Keitel while Tonko Fiamengo had a great tussle all day against Rod Volich to end up 17-17.
Mt Pleasant were in the mix all day in the opening game with the Brian Jeppersen and Hugh McKay rinks providing all the interest, Spearwood will be looking to get their season under way with a win, this could be the day.

Rockingham v Vic Park
The Rockingham side return home full of confidence following their enormous win against Gosnells last Saturday to host Vic Park also first game winners in convincing fashion against Spearwood.
Norm Pascoe was outstanding with John Lethlean as his third their win 35-10 against David Newton set the Rocky boys up; Vic Park also had a great start to their season with the rink of Erron Martin 27-13 against Ivo Dragicevich providing an important buffer going into the final few ends.
Rockingham will be a hand full for the Vic Park side, the Rocky boys excel in the windy conditions usually associated with a visit to the seaside, the Park will want to stay close in the early part of the game or they will come away bloodied.
Norm Pascoe has already demonstrated in one game that he will play a major part in the success of the Rockingham side; with the dependable John Lethlean playing third to him, this is a formidable combination.
This game will challenge the Park, they will want to stay close to the home side or it could get messy towards the end,

Manning v Safety Bay
The game of the round will see Manning return home following a surprising loss to Cockburn, they will take on Safety Bay who easily out pointed one of the early season favourites of this competition in Kardinya.
Milan Jokic lowered his colours to Peter Sardelic last week 15-25, John Francisco won by one shot over Ernie Carpenter while Bill Pengilly had an exiting draw with Mike Simunovic
The Eagles will look to their regular contributors to upset the Bay, while their off season recruits will be keen to make an impact, for Safety Bay this is an important game a win would set up their season, their big contributors in the first game were the rinks of Ray Beard 22-10 against Danny Comrie and Graeme Scott 28-20 against Terry Ball.
Manning is one of the favourites to earn promotion to One White so the Bay will be very mindful how important this game is in their quest to return to One White, on the slick Manning greens this result will be close the Eagles will too strong for the visitors, the result will be Manning 6 / 2.
