Preview One Blue South Round Three

Rance DewsonOsborne Park v Safety Bay

Osborne Park will be hosting a struggling Safety Bay, the Park has two very good wins while Safety Bay is yet to record an aggregate win. The Osborne Park side appears to be well balanced with very good skippers in place while the Bay has some handy players as well.

Safety Bay must start to string some victories together to give them some respite; Osborne Park will be looking to continue with their good form, the result will be:
Osborne Park 6 / 2.

Vic Park v Manning

Manning travel to Vic Park, on the back of a good win against Safety Bay, while Vic Park won by one shot against Rockingham on their carpet in a top game which was only decided on the last end by the skipper’s bowls, coach Milan JokicNev Young played a tremendous shot to displace two of Rockies bowls to win the end by two and the game by one.

The Park have one of their best starts to the season and Nev is the driving force for this side, Manning have Peter Bowden playing very well and Milan Jokic providing strong support,

this will be game of the round with the Park winning narrowly the result :
Vic Park 5 / 3.

Byford v Melville

Byford return home following a second loss from two games, they will host a struggling Melville. Byford will be looking for a first up win to steady the ship while Melville will also be looking for a kick start, both sides will be serious about this game as three losses to start a season does make it hard to recover and survive the drop zone, the result on the synthetic will be first up win for Byford 6 / 2.

Midland Morrison v Hilton Park

Midland return home following a lack lustre game against Spearwood, rumours are they will roll out the new carpet for the Hilton side fresh from win last week against Byford.

Hilton Park one of the early fancies for promotion this year will be working hard to collect as many points as possible, Midland didn’t do enough last Saturday and the signs must be troubling the team management. Hilton may be slow to start on the carpet but they will finish with a flourish, the final result Hilton Park 7 / 1.

Rockingham v Spearwood

Spearwood travel to Rockingham, Spearwood had a strong win last Saturday against a struggling Midland, while Rockingham lost by one shot in the game of the day against a strong Vic Park side.

Spearwood and Rockingham have had some very good encounters in the past seasons and this will be no different, to complete season 06/07, Rockingham prevented Spearwood from gaining promotion to One White by winning a close game, this will add some interest to the game.

Rockingham doesn’t loose many at home, last week would have disappointed their senior players notably John Lethlean, John lost by one shot and will be looking to erase that memory on Saturday.
Spearwood have won maximum points from the opening two games, however this will test the ladder leaders, and the result will be
Rockingham 6 / 2.
