Preview One Blue South Round 1:
Victoria Park v Safety Bay
Victoria Park will host Safety Bay, the Reds will settle back into familiar surroundings for this contest. The Bay will be pushed to overcome a strong Park side looking to start their season off on a winning note,
the result Victoria Park 7 / 1.
Midland Morrison v Rockingham
Midland will roll out the welcome mat for the Rocky boys, this will be a close tussle especially if Midland chooses to debut their carpet, Rockingham will be hoping this is the case and the result will be close all day, home ground advantage may come into the equation,
Rockingham will see the debut of one of WA's greats, Norm Pascoe who will play his first game for the club and sure to be a big plus for Rockingham and increase their chances for promotion
the result Rockingham 6 / 2.
Manning v Melville
Manning will be fired up to dispel any rumours they have suffered major player drain, Melville finished well last year however key players will be called up into their Premier Division Side, this will play a major role in the fortunes of this side,
the result Manning 7 / 1.
Osborne Park v Hilton Park
Osborne Park at home to Hilton will be game of the round, the Saints will be looking to stamp some authority early in the season, and Hilton will be on the prowl for early points with a strong recognised leadership group (they have recruited Dominic Milbourne from Kardinya, he played as a 3rd in One White last season) this side will bounce out early,
the result Hilton Park 6 / 2.
Byford v Spearwood
Byford has a home game to start their first foray into One Blue; Spearwood will be looking to its proven line up with some minor changes (Ken Nadilo to debut as skipper following the departure of Marin Sokol), Byford will be eagerly awaiting this game and would have prepared well; they earned promotion at the expense of Manning in second division and will look to quell any early nerves,
the result Byford 6 / 2.
